“ When I sit in the window here and the wonderful Petunia brings me a carrot cake pancake combo with bacon and eggs and a cup of diner coffee, I feel that for a little while all is right with the world. And that is no small thing. ”
“ Such a pleasant surprise. Delicious vegetarian breakfast! We had the black bean breakfast burrito and Greek veggie omelet. The homemade strawberry jam was to die for! And, such a cute farm style vibe with plenty of seating. ”
“ Absolutely love this place!! My favorite spot for breakfast in Eastlake! The coffee is great, the pancakes are delicious and the cinnamon rolls are amazing. The chicken chilaquiles is my to go choice but I try to get a different dish when I come back. Can’t wait to try the mimosas. ”
“ Cute little diner! I really like their carrot cake pancakes, which are certainly indulgent for breakfast, but you can order just a single one which is nice. The other breakfast staples I tried, bacon and hash browns, are also solid. And if pancakes aren't the sweet treat you're craving, their cinnamon roll and classic carrot cake are both superb. ”
“ I have frequented this lovely neighborhood restaurant for over 40 years and I LOVE that it doesn't change! The food is great cafe fare and the environment is reliably nostalgic. Lately, I have had to travel to Seattle every other week from Lummi Island to transport a friend to Fred Hutch nearby for chemo. While I wait as she endures those treatments the staff at 14 Carrot generously allows me to linger after a great breakfast so I can work on my computer - without rushing me out or making me feel unwelcome. I love the fact that it is still possible to rely on continuity and kindness. Thank you, Kristina and Kevin! ”
“ We had a great dining experience here this morning 2/9/24. Not a busy morning today, but we’ve been here when there was a line out the door. Worth the wait. Delicious cinnamon rolls, filling and tasty food. Menu consists of breakfast and lunch. Open daily 8-2, except Tuesday, they are closed. Several tables, some outside dining available. Funky, fun atmosphere! Service was great, everyone very friendly. ”
“ Nice easy out atmosphere to enjoy breakfast, went over the weekend and there was a little wait; the place is spacious so they do accommodate large parties. Food menu is varied, and the food was your good kind of comfort breakfast; I recommend checking out the carrot cake batter pancakes! ”
“ Great brunch option in a quiet neighborhood serving up some great carrot cake pancakes. Yes, carrot cake pancakes! This is a popular brunch option so there may be a wait, but its worth it. The usual breakfast items are available with some South of the Border options as well. All very tasty but the star is their carrot cake pancakes that I order every time. I had the chicken fried steak with an extra pancake on the side. More than enough food and for a reasonable price. ”
